The one where my art is being displayed in a gallery. For realz.

Hey there people and Happy Sunday to you!! I hope you are doing well in whatever part of the world this post happens to find you.

I am slowly losing the will to live with all this exam marking (happens every year - I should surely be used to it by now). I did however give myself a little time off on Thursday to take a trip into Hull to meet up with my BFF and also to see my artwork displayed in the local gallery.

The gallery is The Ferens in Hull and the exhibition is a fundraiser for The Samaritans. I donated some work for them to sell and the bids seem to be coming in thick and fast.

Here is some pictoral evidence of my triumph (just in case you don't quite believe me...)

My work displayed proudly in the small exhibition space at The Ferens.

Me stood next to my work, grinning like a fool!

The show's Warhol-Inspired poster on the gallery door........

..... oh yes, did I forget to mention that Andy Warhol's work was being exhibited in the next room?

More proof of the above.

The Warhol posters from outside the gallery. How swish am I exactly?!

I think the excitement has gone to my head entirely. My work is on display in an actual art gallery for actual people to buy!!

Whilst I'm on the subject, a lot of my art is available via my Etsy store too. Just saying. And whilst I'm in a promotional kind of mood, introducing.....

I have also launched a new product on my Etsy store inspired by the wonderfully talented Julie Kesti - Art with Love. Put simply, it is a subscription service which provides you with a lovely package each and every month filled to the brim with lovely arty goodness. Click here for more details.

I hope you've enjoyed this little peek into my few hours of freedom from the exam marking software. Now, back to the grindstone I must go. Only another 298 papers to go. Sigh.

Have a great Sunday night people!!

ps - I am going to be hosting my first ever linky party on Monday!! I will be inviting you to share your inspirational words/thoughts/sayings - things that help you to get through the week when life starts to get tough. Let's share some of this lovely inspiration around people!! You can link to any blog post/Etsy item/useful source of inspiration that you think would be helpful/uplifting for me and my readers. I will post this linky every Monday - let's see how big a pool of inspiration we can get going between us all!!

The Art Subscription link is mine - you can find the details on my blog here:

(Or just click the button on the sidebar that says "Art with Love")

It was inspired by another artist though.

Please do link up tomorrow - I'm hoping it will be a success!
