Hey there people and Happy Wednesday to you!! I hope your day has been a good one, wherever in the world you may be.
I thought I'd share with you some of the thrifted goodies I found when furnishing our new little home. Where we had been in Swinefleet already had a full compliment of curtains, so I never really needed to buy any. I did notice on more than one occasion the wealth of different types of curtains available in secondhand shops in Goole - there were loads of them! Most of them never been used or at least in perfect condition.
So, with the move on my mind, and knowing that the house we were going to had no curtains in place I took to the streets of Goole on a sunny Saturday. Here's what I found:

A lovely floral pattern for our living room - £8 for two pairs! Never been used!

You can't see too well from the pictures but these are a lovely green colour. They are thick curtains (so ideal for bedroom use) with a lovely embroidered pattern - £9 for two pairs!

These two sets I bought as extras. I think I'll use the cream with gold squares set (£5.99 a pair!) for the spare bedroom/study. The others (£7.99 a pair!) will do as a spare set I think.

I wasn't intending to buy a quilt, but when I saw this pretty one for only £3 I had to have it.
So all in all I spent £35 on 6 pairs of curtains and a quilt. Awesome value for money, I think you'll agree. I'll have to let you have a look at some pics of them in use I think.
Have you thrifted any good bargains recently? I'd love to know!
Have a great day people!!
