Behind the Scenes: Destroy this Journal

Hey there people and Happy Tuesday to you. I hope you are having a fabulous day, wherever in the world you may be. I am back to school this week so feeling quite tired, but still managing to fit in some lovely things.

Today I wanted to give you a sneak peek at something I am busily working on at the moment for my blog - my Destroy this Journal entry. You can read all about the journal competition here. I decided to use as my starting point some journals I have half filled writing prompts and ideas. I will combine them all into one big beautiful inspiration journal! I have taken lots of photos of the process so far, and it's not even finished! Enjoy!

I have used stickers and glitter pens on these pages, picking out some of the key words from the text.

Here I've used the shape cutters I have to decorate the pages. If you look closely you'll see I have stuck the cut outs down across the page too.

So, this has been just a little sneak peek into my process and into the direction my not yet completed journal is taking me. So far I have used pencils, stickers, shape cutters, chalks and lots of glue to create my first pages. I am planning to also use sketching pencils and watercolours too. Perhaps some ribbon as well.....

The best things about this project? I am playing. I am trying things, messing around and just being silly. I'm not too focused on the end product. I'm just trying things. And this is liberating! I would urge everyone to try it!
